Mastering International Teaching

Category Description
Content

International classrooms bring together a rich diversity of perspectives, cultural backgrounds, and ways of learning. While this heterogeneity adds complexity to course design and delivery, it also opens up great opportunities for an enriched educational experience.

This interactive course explores both the benefits and challenges of teaching in culturally diverse settings. Combining reflective discussion with practical tools, participants examine how to navigate learner heterogeneity skillfully and design engaging, inclusive learning environments. Instructors will gain concrete didactic approaches to turn classroom complexity into an asset and master the art of international teaching

Aims

After attending the course participants will be able to

  • identify how cultural backgrounds can affect learning activities (e.g., communication, expectations toward the instructor, etc.).
  • create effective learning environments in international, heterogeneous teaching settings.
