Designing Your Own AI-Competence-Based Teaching Approach

Category Description
Content

In this interactive 150-minute session, you will explore how to integrate AI meaningfully into your own teaching practice. Working with the «Future Skills for AI» card deck by NextEducation, and through individual reflection and collaborative group discussions, participants will identify relevant AI competences for their courses and teaching contexts. Building on these insights, the workshop will guide you in formulating concrete learning objectives and developing initial ideas for AI-informed teaching formats and assessment strategies. The workshop aims to foster exchange, reflection, and practical innovation in teaching with AI.

Aims

Participants

  • identify AI competences that are relevant to their own course and formulate learning objectives linked to these competences.
  • develop one or two AI-aware teaching formats by identifying specific points in their course where AI could meaningfully support, extend, or transform student learning.
  • design at least one initial AI-aware assessment idea and formulate one assessment criterion that can be adapted for use in their own course.
  • leave the workshop with a realistic and adaptable draft for integrating AI into their teaching.
